Nestled in the bountiful Huon Valley, our rustic restaurant invites you to discover the freshest flavours the Huon Valley has to offer. Come for delicious food, our famous apple pie and a cider, of course! Vegan and vegetarian options available.  Note: we have accessible parking options just outside our entrance, ramp access to the venue, and seating options both inside and out for guests with any mobility needs.

We also host live music every Friday night from 6.30 pm and Artisan Markets every Saturday from 10 am.

Christmas Functions at the Apple Shed

With the festive season just around the corner, it’s time to plan the end-of-year celebrations and gatherings.

The Apple Shed is the perfect spot to celebrate, with group packages catering for 10-40 guests.

Our Christmas two- and three-course set menu offerings are designed to take the hassle out of planning.

Two courses start at $55 per person.
Menus feature Apple Shed favourites and some traditional Christmas treats.

Bookings are essential, and all reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking.

They were served a with a beautiful salad of apple and greens. The sandwiches were filled with quality ham and cheese and sprinkled with Parmesan. It was the most delicious and satisfying sandwich I had in a while. The staff were really friendly, helpful and happy

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a fantastic spot. My friends and I took a trip down to Huonville and stopped in for a late lunch. Grabbed ourselves a drink and waited for our food. After quite some time the waiter came over and apologised for the wait. Not that we were bothered at all. The atmosphere was great for the two of us to enjoy a drink and chat. The ham and cheese toasty was “slay” Will definitely be taking another visit in the near future.

The food was amazing, and wonderful that they cater for gluten free. The size of the desert serve 😱 Staff, especially Miranda were friendly, without being intrusive and very good at their job. Definitely coming back before we leave 👏

Living history

Take a tour through the Apple Museum and learn about the rise, fall and recovery of the once infamous ‘Apple Isle’ of Tasmania and the Huon Valley, which was at its heart.
The self-guided tour takes around 20 minutes to complete, with many relics from the past and storyboards to guide you through.
