As the name suggests, the traditional cider apple variety of Somerset Redstreak originates from Somerset in the West Country of England.  Our Somerset Redstreak Dry Cider has been made solely from this bittersweet cider apple variety to showcase the delicate aroma and complex tannin profile of the apple, while also expressing that traditional dry West Country style.  Prominent textural tannins and balanced acidity, typical of true bittersweet cider apples, have allowed this cider to be made in a medium dry style that maintains significant body and a persistent and lingering mouthfeel.

Tasting Notes

This dry cider displays delicate varietal apple and sweet spice aromas that are under-pinned by deep toffee apple notes. Layers of fruit, confectionary and complex drying tannins combine with perfectly balanced acidity to deliver a multilayered textural expression of the Somerset Redstreak varietal cider apple.
