Runaway Belles is a Tasmanian alt country folk pop act featuring Tash Parker and Emma Anglesey. With a focus on uplifting storytelling and singing in constant harmony, Runaway Belles offer something unique. Described by Tone Deaf as “A harmony of indie-folk brilliance”, Tash and Emma’s voices are almost inseparable -- even their mothers can’t tell who’s singing.
Their first single ‘The Weekend’ was hailed by Music Feeds as “Tender indie-folk at its finest”. Runaway Belles single ‘Flames’ co-written with aussie legend Liz Stringer went to Number #1 on the AMRAP Regional Chart in its first week.
A Tasmanian festival favourite, Mona describes Runaway Belles as “Sunshiney flawless harmonies. Like, proper flawless.” As Runaway Belles, Tash and Emma have been invited to play many local and national festivals including Dark Mofo, Mona Foma, A festival called Panama, Festival of Voices and Party In The Paddock, ChillOut and the Woodford Planting.
Runaway Belles have recently co-written songs with a host of golden guitar winning songwriters for their forthcoming album including Lyn Bowtell, Tom Wolfe (Wolf Brothers), Lior and Francesca De Valence (founder of I Heart Songwriting Club).
