The Tasmanian Heritage Fiddle Ensemble plays Traditional and contemporary Tasmanian music. They play music by local composers encompassing music form the convict era, Cape Barren Island and contemporary composers. The group is influenced by a wide variety of styles, including, but not limited to; Klezmer, Scottish, Irish and Gypsy Jazz. The group is currently led by Musical Director and Violinist, Emily Wolfe. Emily is passionate about keeping Traditional Tasmanian music alive and supporting a new generation of musicians.
