The final Franko of 2020 is here - the Christmas special, with the best of THE best Tassie musicians lighting up the stage with jazz and soul classics.

They’re also on the look out for light brown apple moth who tend to move in and lay their eggs between now and New Year - when they know everyone’s away.

A friendly in the fight against these future leaf and fruit munchers, are earwigs - who like to eat them.

As always with nature, you win some, you lose some.

Some fairly gusty winds and sideways rain couldn’t put a dampener on next level food thanks to one Mr Nick Cummins from @urban_bounty, great local booze (thanks @sailorseekshorse, @hobartbrewingco and of course our cider making crew!) and the best of locations - our orchard, on the banks of the Huon.

Cheers team, for one hell of a year 🙏

So what’s in the box?

👑 Straight to the queen of the lot - a traditional boozy pud from our mates at Urban Bounty, made with fruit soaked in our apple brandy, distilled here on the farm.

Drinks? Have we ever got those covered!

🍾 Our limited release heritage apple cider, Yarlington Mill, along with @harvestandlight’s non-alc Rhubarb & Raspberry Shrub and a bottle of our @charlesoatesdistilling – the perfect match for the aforementioned pud.

🍖 To add the final flourishes to your Christmas table there’s native pepper berry from @tasmanianpepperco - spot on with your ham, which we’d recommend serving with the pickled onions and mustard, made with our cider by Cassy at Harvest & Light.

What to eat for Boxing Day breakfast? Toast up a hearty @huonmecrumpets sourdough crumpet, grab some leftover ham and slather on some mustard.

Freddie and the crew hard at work hand thinning today - they’ll be working through the rest of the orchard over the next five weeks.

They’re getting rid of misshapen or frost damaged buds and most importantly reducing the fruit per limb so the tree puts its energy into the remaining apples - leading to healthier, larger and more flavoursome fruit 🍎

We launched them with the catch cry - Bigger. Drier. Harder.

It's since become clear, we went a little too big..

So we've taken the same dry cider you know and love, and popped it in a handy sized 355ml can.

They’ve already left the farm so you should be able to get your hands on one stat 👊
