Willie Smith’s Tasmanian has received an industry accolade at last week’s Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA).

ALIA celebrates the entire industry, with beer, wine, spirits, retailers, brands and suppliers all recognised in the off-premise awards. The on-premise winners were also revealed in front of a sold out Sydney Town Hall last Wednesday night.

Willie Smith’s took the Highly Commended position in the cider category, which is an achievement as a independent producer.

National Sales Manager Ben Cook said that it was important to be recognised by trade customers interstate.

“We treat our trade customers as partners, they play such an important role in educating the market on our Tasmanian cider and to receive this recognition is fantastic.”

Another Tasmanian brand was the winner in their category, Jansz taking out the Australian and International Sparkling award.
