When and Where is the Willie Smith's Mid-Winter Festival?
Where - Willie Smith's Apple Shed
2064 Huon Highway

Friday July 14 -  5pm - 11pm
Saturday July 15  - 10am - 12am

(Family & Kids Session Saturday 10am - 4pm
Getting Here - Shuttle buses

There is currently no parking on-site at the festival. Your ticket price will include a complimentary shuttle bus from Huon Valley or a $20 return bus from Hobart.
Shuttles will be running every 30 mins from Huon Valley through out the duration of the festival opening times.

Huonville Shuttle

The Huonville Shuttle will be operating every 30mins between Huonville and Willie Smith's Apple Shed Huon Hwy Grove. Trip time is approximately 10 mins.

Huonville shuttle times begin
4.30pm Friday
9.30am Saturday

Shuttle busses will run until the end of the festival (we will make sure everyone safely gets back to the parking lot).

You must have a valid Hobart Bus ticket with an allocated time. 
We recommend turning up 15 mins before your allocated bus time - or earlier and have a drink with our friends at Hobart Brewing Co!

Accessibility and Disabled Access
We have a small amount of capacity for disabled and accessibility needs. Please contact us before hand to arrange access. 
The paddock and mainstage can be uneven in the cold wet weather for wheelchair access. The Appleshed does have ramp access. 
We recognise the Tasmanian companion pass.

Kids at Mid-Winter Festival
This is an all ages event. 18+ wristbands will be given out for purchase of alchohol.
Kids under 16 are free. 

Our kids program will be running from 10am-4pm on Saturday, with kids bands, circus, workshops and roving performers.
Blundstones Costume Competition

Dress in your best pagan finery. 
The annual Mid-Winter Saturday night costume competition is a sight to behold.

Adult Costume Competition - Saturday 7.00pm - 7.20pm - Paddock Stage
Categories - Best Dressed 1st and 2nd, Best Group (4 or less)

Kids Costume Competition (under 12) - Saturday 3pm
**Rock on up 15 mins before the events to register. 

Entry is on the night. Head up to the main stage for entry. 

Categories -Family or Group, Best Dressed x 2, Kids costume comp (held on Saturday daytime)

Cash accepted, no ATM on site

We accept cash, however, no ATM will be available on site. All bars and markets will take eftpos. 

What can you bring

A refillable drink bottle for water, we will have water stations for drinking water.

Cash - there will be no ATM's on site. Cards will be accepted at all venues.

Your pagan finery - Dress in your pagan best.

Boots or covered shoes. It can get muddy in the paddocks.

Dress for the cold. We have fires a plenty to warm yourself by, but it's still winter in Tassie.

*As much as we love your animals, during the festival, we cannot host dogs or other animals. Humans only. 
Alcohol cannot be brought into the festival. 

Weather

It's cold outside. There will be fire and hot spiced cider to keep you warm but dress for winter. The paddock can get muddy so we recommend boots and full-covered shoes. 

The weather report is looking pretty good !

Pass Outs

Pass-outs are available however there's not much but surrounding paddocks. The Huonville shuttle will be operating every 30 mins between the festival and Huonville.
