Celebrate with this unique cask-finish Apple Brandy

This year marks 10 years of Willie Smith's Mid-Winter Fest. To celebrate, our Head Distiller Simon has created an exceptional Apple Brandy which has taken unique characteristics from a special barrel.

This rich spirit was initially matured for four years in ex-fortified Australian wine casks, and has been finished in a cask which had previously aged Nocino, an Italian-style green-walnut liqueur from local Tasmanian producer Osare. The green walnuts are picked according to Pagan traditions, on the summer solstice and consumed to keep warm during winter, and ward off witches! This additional cask ageing process has added depth and character to the spirit.

This rare Apple Brandy opens with vanilla and spice aromas and subtle floral undertones. The full and sultry palate is underpinned with nutty notes, intertwined spice and rich fruitcake flavours. It has a smooth, well-balanced profile with a long and lingering finish.

This Apple Brandy is extremely limited. With just over 100 bottles made for this special cask-finish, it is strictly limited - don't miss out!
